Veda Seshan
Product | Textile Designer
Hello,
My name is Veda and I have worked as a textile and product designer in the craft sector for the past 4 years. During this time my work has spanned across areas like product and design development for craft clusters, training artisans and trainers across various audiences in the country - all with the mission of generating livelihood through craft and a phenomenal opportunity of being part of setting up a brand from scratch.
I am intrigued by craft ecosystems, people and skills involved in making. On a normal work day you will find me juggling roles of coordinating craft projects, problem solving, communicating with artisans, engrossed in sorting yarn and dye colors or curating festive hampers. I love visiting craft clusters and interacting with people on ground with a larger purpose of being part of evolution and revival of craft and craft based livelihoods. I enjoy working with communities because I truly believe in the work and skill they hone and hope to learn from them through collaboration.
